Lucas' pulmonary functions are improved today and his blood pressure medication dosages have been lowered, although we know his pressures can fluctuate at any time. He remains critically ill. We continue to patiently wait on evidence of neurological function to return and we know his healing is entirely up to God. We thank you for praying with us for his full recovery.
I spent some time this afternoon reading to Lucas some of the scripture verses many of you have shared. The Word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword--or scalpel for that matter--and while I do not know that he can hear us at this time, I know the Spirit can speak to him where we cannot. We trust in Him and His will and His work.

Keep reading the word to him God's word does not go void. I can give you peace as you read it to him.

Praise the Lord. His mercies are new every morning. Still praying. Driving all day tomorrow, and will spend part of it in prayer for Lucas and for you.
