Lucas had a stable night physically for which we are thankful. Please understand that he remains critically ill on life support... stable is relative. We continue to pray for God's healing of his brain. We ask for your prayers for patience and wisdom for us as we wait to see if he has any neurological function. His other injuries are important as well, but treatment is all dictated by neurological issues.
As always, thank you for your texts, emails, comments, etc of encouragement, prayers, and scriptures. They are used by God to sustain us.
God is good.

Grateful to hear of some signs of improvement but understand that Lucas is not out of the woods yet. I am still praying for him that God will send the Holy Spirit to minister to his soul and body and that he will have healing according to the will of his Creator. I am praying for you, Tina, Spencer and Sydney as you wait on the Lord. Praying for strength, comfort, grace, faith, rest.
ReplyDeleteYour mercy O Lord will hold me up
In the multitude of my anxieties within me
Your comforts delight my soul.
Psalm 94:18-19
1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 Immediately[a] many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
ReplyDelete5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
This is one of my favorite passages, as it was one of the first parables I ever learned of. God will provide healing for those whose faith is in him, and those whose family and friends have faith in him. I am praying for Lucas, and your family, though I have not met you, I know that you must be a special family to have such a special son as Lucas. All of my love and prayers go out to you.
(Mark 2:1-12)
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you all for the prayers and the scriptures.
ReplyDeleteYou are all close to my heart, Little family, and I am writing in order to testify to God's goodness and mercy, His healing powers and ability to perform miracles. I have seen them for myself and I have walked the road you are now on.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers will be with you daily, as are the prayers of so many others. They will give you the strenght and comfort you need for each new day. As you know, each day brings it's own concerns, and that is how you manage; one day at a time. This is a time when truly, the only One to turn to is our God. How good it is to know Him, and to be able to rest in His love. He will protect, comfort and sustain you during this particular point in time. Through many means, He will send all you need and more, so that you may endure.
Psalm 57:1
I pray with you that Lucas might have total healing. God's blessings be with you all.
