Day 15 cont.

Lucas' head CT shows no current bleeding (although still abnormal with evidence of significant damage), so the neurosurgeons feel it is appropriate to use a low dose of blood thinners to prevent any further blood clots.

Lucas had problems with his heart rate slowing down and we thought his blood pressure dropping dangerously low early this afternoon, but he is now off the blood pressure medicines and his pressure and heart rate seem normal. But, he is now having excessive fluid loss that had been controlled by one of those medicines, so please pray that this will be controlled and not cause further problems with his electrolytes.

We still have seen no significant neurological improvement but continue to pray that God would move mightily to heal Lucas. Our trust is in His perfect will in all things and our prayer is for His wisdom to be evident to us in all decisions.

I took some time to read some scriptures that have been shared with us to Lucas. Pray the Holy Spirit would speak these to his mind and be a comfort to him.

As always, we are thankful for your faithful prayers for Lucas and for us. We are blessed.

God is good.

  2. Dear Littles, I just found out about Lucas today through my job. I work for Call-A-Nurse. I've never met you but my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine what you are going through but I know that God has a perfect plan for what is giong on right now. I will be lifting you all up in my prayers and will try to continuously check in on how he is doing. May God give you strength and peace which passeth all understanding as you go through this hardship.

  4. This is a poem I read in my Grace for the Moment (Max Lucado) devotional today.
    "Praise to God"
    You are a great God,
    Your character is holy.
    Your truth is absolute.
    Your strength is unending.
    Your discipline is fair....
Your provisions are abundant for our needs.
Your light is adequate for our path.
Your grace is sufficient for our sins....
You are never early, never late....
You sent your Son in the fullness of time and
will return at the consummation of time.
    Your plan is perfect.
    Bewildering. Puzzling. Troubling.
    But perfect.

Praying continually for you all....Multiple times throughout the day and night the Holy Spirit lays you all on my heart. Sometimes it's just a short prayer, sometimes a longer prayer but always a sincere, heartfelt cry to our God. With the love of Jesus Christ,
